Run away with me to the Beach.

Oh, what I would give to be there right now....

Everyone has a favorite place in the world to be....Mine is the beach, walking along barefoot, with the sand all over my feet.

Where is your favorite place??

Uh, the beach! Any beach. I've been to the beach on the right coast and the left coast but I'm partial to the Gulf beach. But any beach will do in my book!

The beach, definitley. No matter where I am on this island, I am never more than 15 mins away from a beach!

I like the beach too. Or the downtown areas of certain cities - with cool old architecture, plenty of little mom and pop stores, and unusual places to eat.

I like the beach too and have been to so many it is hard to choose. I think I would like to be on Stinson Beach Ca. on a warm sunny day because it is cool there and watching the sunset. I could go there again.

I love the beach too. The mountains are very peaceful too though.

I love little fishing villages. Just sit at an outdoor cafe and watch the fishing boats leaving or coming back to the harbor.

Man Im right with you, give me a beautiful beach, some shells , beautiful blue water white sand. I am fine. Although our beaches are on different coasts. the truth is I hate NY beaches because I grew up with South Florida one and they are so different

on a blanket, under a big birch tree (providing lots of shade on a beautifully sunny day) reading a good book & listening to some fabulous tunes on my headphones. Uninterupted for hours!

I can honestly say that though I'd probably love the beach, I've never been to a beach that I'd want to spend a day at.

Menorca, Spain. The beaches are beautiful, but it is quiet and unassuming. It is also on an island, and if the weather is clear, you can see the other islands if you sit on some rocks. They also allow topless sunbathing. There is no shame of the human body and the night stars are so numerous that you think you are in the center of the galaxy. Let's go!

I would love to run to the beach with you. Or anywhere with water. A lake, river rapids. I just love being around water!

The beach, baby! SLB and I are counting days.....and then it's seven days and seven nights of tiki lights, wet sand, jelly fish, Michelob lights, periwinkle soup, sunburnt noses, wet swimsuits, sunrises, and laughter! Running away......

I have to say Europe too... I love the beach, but I can be there in 40 minutes any given day... Europe, whether the coast of Italy or the big city of Paris... I am totally in my element... its an adventure 24/7/. I guess that is what I crave... adventure!

ps come visit and we can go to the beach! =]

It depends on my mood. Either at the beach or up in the mountains next to a cool stream or waterfall.

Ooh. Good question.

With a few friends and/or family in a peaceful (but not necessarily quiet), new outdoor place (with ample shade; I burn like toast) is best for me. If I had to choose a specific place, though? The Rocky Mountains, hands down - snow-capped peaks are so pretty! And sunsets, and discovering new plants, and following animal trails, and hiking... I love it. :D

give me the beach any day of the week. We go to the Outer Banks and I love the beaches there.

My favorite place would be a giant vat of creme cheese frosting.

I've been thinking about the beach a lot too. Especially at this time of the year...

A long time ago, and far away...I lived by the beach, and spent a great deal of time there. In summer and winter. Living where I do, it is not that far to drive to one of the vacation spots people flock to. But, being alone on a stretch of coastline, watching the waves, seeing the unending and ancient wonder of the ocean, has always comforted me in some way. Let's all get our sand pails and Coppertone, and head for the beach to play, what do you say?

Another great post!

Growing up in O.C. I was a beach bum as a teen. Of course, then I had the body. I still love the beach, and lived in Huntington when my son was born. I would waddle down to the shore and meditate. Noe I'm afraid I would be harpooned!!!!

I had a favorite tree too!! I would play in the sprinklers and then climb to my spot with my towel to lay in the tree branch that cradled me so gently....
Thanks for the pleasant memories, they are few and precious to me!

The beach, the river or the woods, by a creek! Just put me outside, free of traffic, close to mother nature & near some water and I'm beyond content.

I know that I will never forget going out to Agate Beach on the north end of Newport for the very first time during the winter months and I noticed that I was the only person on the beach for as far as I could see. And I could see far. That has happened many times since. Liminality is its own draw.
